Our Story
Our journey began with the boundless inspiration provided by our own dogs, driving us to create a brand that celebrates the joy and companionship they bring into our lives.
We're a family who's passionate about dogs! We love animals and adore pets, but pit bulls hold a special place in our hearts. They also play an important part in the Pangel™ story.
In 2005, we headed to North Shore Animal League in Long Island, New York. This would be where we'd end up adopting our first fur baby, Darragh. We were hooked; our rescue life had begun.
A year later, we welcomed another pit, Stella, into our home, and soon after, we met Riley.
Each of them stole our hearts, and in the years that followed, they filled our lives with unmatched joy. Eventually, we adopted our current pits, Charlie and Ivy.
The positive impact of rescuing made us want to do even more to save and protect dogs. We made pledging money, participating in events, and volunteering regular practice.
These experiences led us to desire to make a difference for more dogs, and then one day, something happened that opened our eyes to a need.
Driving to the airport, we narrowly missed a horrific accident. Among the thoughts and emotions we experienced, concern for our precious dogs became something that we couldn't ignore.
What would have happened to them if we hadn't returned home that day? It got us thinking about the millions of pets abandoned each year, simply left to fend for themselves in their owner's absence. We knew we had to do something.
Eventually, the idea for Pangel™ was born. We realized that peace of mind when leaving your pets behind is priceless. Pangel™ is far more than just an app we've developed; it's a lifeline to the pets we care so deeply about, and the app is just the start.
